Activities of the IP Technologies Area

The research activities of the IP Technologies Area are especially focused on the definition and optimization of algorithms and protocols for:

  • IP networking
  • cellular networks
  • wireless mesh networks
  • mobility and radio resource management
  • network dimensioning

The approach to the research is mainly experimental. Particular emphasis is then given to:

  • protocol analysis
  • system monitoring
  • wireless/wired measurements
  • network performance analysis & evaluation

Our activities are organized in three research lines:

  • L1: Mobile Communications for Next Generation Networks
  • L2: Self Organized Wireless Network
  • L3: Novel Techniques for Network Performance Assessment

For activities more targeting testbed development and experimental prove of concepts, please visit this page.
